Included with Nitix Premium Edition, Nitix Software RAID Technology has the following features and benefits:

Users can run RAID 1 or RAID 5 simultaneously with idb backups, providing additional redundancy and, with RAID 5, creating higher capacity data storage through the use of multiple disk drives
Users have full access to the file system during a RAID rebuild, thereby increasing uptime

More sophisticated servers will use RAID technology to increase data storage capacity and provide additional redundancy. If a traditional RAID-enabled server is improperly shutdown, users often have to wait for a "RAID rebuild" to be completed before they can access the server. RAID-rebuilds can take several hours to compete.

Nitix PE's Software RAID Technology gives users complete read and write access to the server during a RAID-rebuild.
